iLife ‘09 and iWork ‘09 Tomorrow?

We covered this as an aside over the weekend here, but the rumor is gaining speed and it merits taking another look. As we said this weekend, speculation is brewing that Apple may release an iLife and iWork update at tomorrow’s event. Why? Well, if they’re going to include Blu-Ray on the new MacBooks, you’ve got have something to burn them with, right? How ’bout a little Blu-Ray iDVD thrown your way?

Moreover, it was this time last year when Steve released the ‘08 suites at a similarly tagged “Mac event”. Mac Soda and the Apple Blog are believers, as are a few others, plus Kevin Rose.

We’ll see tomorrow.

UPDATE: John Gruber says that there is absolutely no chance of this happening.
